Kids & Arts is grateful for the Amaeyzing Champions that are raising funds to support our programs. We are humbled by the kind and generous actions of people inspired by our work, people who were strangers to us and now are close allies. They want to stand up, get creative, and jump into action on our behalf. They are using innovative ways to bring new awareness to our mission and help us better serve kids with cancer and their families.  The saying stands true - “It takes a village.” Only in our case, it takes the strength of the community, pediatric care centers, researchers, private-public partnerships, and patients and their families—to sustain the lives of all children impacted by cancer and cancer-related diseases.

MEET OUR CURRENT CHAMPIONS:

Driftwood Ceramics

Driftwood Ceramics in North Kansas City hosted their first-ever pottery throwdown on March 25, 2023.  Proceeds from the event benefited Kids & Art Foundation. The throwdown was structured to be doable at any pottery level. All events were wheel throwing only and were focused on size and amount of pieces thrown in a certain amount of time instead of perfection of style to be fair to all participants. The event was a huge success and raised over $7,000 for Kids & Art bringing together a local community to celebrate art.  McKenzie Stanley the owner of the Driftwood was the host of the event and chose Kids and Art because she wanted to support a charity that was bringing art into youth lives and inspiring hope.

CHALK2HEAL- THE LINDHARDT FAMILY

Kid’s & Art program participant and cancer survivor Daniel, and his mom, hosted an art-filled day of creativity and chalk fun in support of the Kids & Art.
