Programs for Patient Families

Kids & Art Foundation provides free, ongoing art experiences to support families with children and youth in treatment for cancer and other critical medical conditions. Our understanding that participation in artmaking helps ease the stress, anxiety, and trauma children treatment endure — while also allowing for joy, creativity, and self-expression — is at the core of all we do.

Amaeyzing ArtKits™ @home

The Amaeyzing ArtKits™ @Home program is designed specifically for children in active treatment for cancer and other critical medical conditions, and their families, and offers independent art experiences, accessible whenever it best serves your child and family as a creative arts support. Every project is designed by our lead artist to inspire relaxation, self-expression, and fun.

Each month your family will receive two Amaeyzing ArtKit projects, each containing pre-recorded video instructions and all supplies needed to engage in the art project experience. Additionally, we introduce a different professional “Guest Artist” every month. Our Guest Artists allow us a peek into their studios and share their art with us with short video messages intended to inspire creativity and imagination.

Sign up to receive free Amaeyzing ArtKits @Home for your family.

PLEASE NOTE: THE CURRENT AMAEYZING ARTKITS @HOME SUBSCRIPTION PERIOD IS NOW FULL.

Online Art Experiences

Let’s get creative! Kids & Art hosts ongoing art workshops held on Zoom, led by one of our lead artists, for children and families touched by cancer or other critical conditions.

Each online art experience features a different theme and focus, and gives participants the opportunity to engage in creative projects specially designed for them.

All materials required for each project are free and mailed to registrants ahead of the workshop.

DESTINATION WORKSHOPS

Beginning in 2023, Kids & Art will return to providing in-person destination workshops in the Bay Area, offering an opportunity for local pediatric cancer patients, siblings, and families to create art together in dynamic settings.

Each destination workshop features multiple professional artists who will work 1-on-1 with participants on creative experiences inspired by the workshop locations.

Destination workshops are free to participants; advance signup is required.

Why “Amaeyzing?” - Kids & Art Foundation is the legacy of our founder’s son, Amaey. He was always called Amazing Amaey by his friends, and that is how we coined the term “Amaeyzing” for many of the Kids & Art Programs. More about the Kids & Art story.
